Hello! My name is Beth Ableman-Bernet, and I am excited with the opportunity of being the Lead Teacher/Dean of Students at the Monroe Virtual School. I look forward to meeting and working with many students and their families.

I received my Bachelor's of Education Degree from UW-Whitewater, Master's Degree in Special Education-Learning Disabilities from UW-Whitewater, and my Educational Leadership program from Viterbo. I began my teaching career in the Eleva-Strum School District working with elementary learning disabilities students in 1987. After leaving Eleva-Strum, I returned to my hometown, Monroe, WI. I have been teaching in the Monroe School District for twenty-three years. During that time, I have taught special education, fourth and sixth grades, Title Math/Math Resource teacher at the elementary level, and currently at Monroe Virtual School. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and the diversity of each teaching position.

I believe the Monroe Virtual School provides the flexibility to individualize each student's educational goals and needs, so they are prepared for a wide variety of career choices in the twenty-first century. The diversity of class choices and online instruction allows for students to meet their needs while receiving their diploma.
